'Bridge to Year 7' program aims to prepare your child for the educational challenges Year 7 and beyond
This program is a condensed version of the full term program currently offered.

Suitable for children in Year 6

English

During Year 7, students will be exposed to a vast range and potentially new terminology as they are encouraged to analyse texts, interpret essay questions and write both short answer and long detailed essays. Enable your child to develop the skills necessary to draft an opening paragraph of an essay or report, including the ability to; decipher the question, highlighting, note taking and identify and include important facts etc.
 

The full day program with cover 5 key sessions:

• Session #1 – What is an essay? (and terminology used).

• Session # 2 – How to best structure a short answer and long essay response/s.

• Session #3 – Techniques and tips e.g. decipher the question etc.

• Session #4 - Write an essay.
   

Maths
Assist your child to consolidate their Mathematics skills in preparation for Year 7, providing them with the confidence to understand and enjoy mathematics as they transition into High School.
 

• Session #5 : The Mysteries of Rational Numbers: Fractions, Decimals, Algebra and Long Division etc

Why should I attend?
Ease your child’s transition into High School, by equipping them with the ability to write as required in secondary school, as well as be exposed to key high school Maths topics.

This program will be scheduled from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
